About the Opportunity

Indicium AI is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect specializing in AWS and the Financial Services sector. This strategic role is dedicated to designing and overseeing the construction of secure, scalable, and high-performance AI platforms on AWS, leveraging key generative AI tools like Amazon Bedrock and Anthropic's Claude. You will act as the technical authority for our most complex banking and capital markets engagements, ensuring architectural alignment with both client business objectives and stringent financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-native AI/ML platforms on AWS, focusing on GenAI applications.
• Drive the selection and integration of AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock, to operationalize Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Anthropic's Claude  family.
• Define and govern cloud security, compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, financial regulatory standards), and operational best practices for AI workloads in financial institutions.
• Partner with client engineering teams to modernize core banking systems and build low-latency data pipelines on AWS.
• Provide deep subject matter expertise on AWS architecture, network security, cost optimization, and CI/CD for enterprise-grade solutions.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Cloud Architecture: Expert-level proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC) and a track record of architecting high-availability, fault-tolerant solutions.
• Generative AI Platforms: Proven experience designing and implementing GenAI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, including deployment of models from partners like Anthropic.
• Data & ML Engineering: Experience with AWS data services (e.g., Kinesis, Glue, SageMaker) and building end-to-end MLOps pipelines.
• Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Financial Services and Banking domain, including core banking platforms, trading systems, or risk modeling.
• Advanced English

Nice to haves

• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Anthropic Certified Architect - Foundations (or equivalent).
