About the Opportunity

Indicium AI is seeking an AI Tech Lead to guide our engineering teams and elevate our technical execution. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Quality Assurance processes, supporting analysts and other leaders by promoting best practices, and resolving complex operational bottlenecks. As a core technical leader within the department, you will bridge strategic AI development with operational excellence, ensuring high performance, scalability, and technical rigor across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) processes across AI/ML workflows to ensure project excellence.
• Provide technical support to analysts and other leaders, suggesting industry best practices and troubleshooting critical operational issues.
• Own and govern the RFC process to drive architectural alignment, collaborative review, and technical consensus.
• Standardize technical methodologies, tools, and frameworks across the entire AI department.
• Audit the technical quality and architectural health of active projects across multiple delivery teams.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions utilizing LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agent frameworks.
• Mentor and guide junior, mid-level, and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical growth and continuous learning.
• Establish, maintain, and automate best practices for AI/ML development, testing, and deployment (MLOps).
• Contribute to the definition of the company's AI strategy and resolve high-severity technical bottlenecks.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Leadership & Governance: Proven experience leading engineering teams, managing RFC processes, standardizing developer tooling, and running technical quality audits or QA frameworks.
• Generative AI & Software Architecture: Solid track record of building and optimizing GenAI solutions (LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks) combined with a deep understanding of Python, software architecture, and distributed systems.
• Data & MLOps Infrastructure: Strong experience working with cloud data environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks) and establishing automated MLOps CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Cloud Architecture: Solid track record of architecting high-availability, fault-tolerant solutions.
• Operational Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a knack for unblocking operational teams, optimizing costs, and resolving complex system failures.
• Advanced English

• Deep knowledge of Financial Services and Banking domain.
• Experience in technical leadership and AI project management.
• Relevant certifications in AI or cloud.
• Understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy frameworks within AI systems.
• Recognition in the AI community (publications, presentations, etc.).
• Experience with deployment of models from partners like Anthropic.
